LCDR Christopher Adcock

Lieutenant Commander Adcock, a native of Ft. Wainwright, AK, received his commission from Officer Candidate School in September 2010 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Florida. He also holds a Master of Science from the University of Florida in Civil Engineering with a focus in Infrastructure Management.

Lieutenant Commander Adcock completed Civil Engineer Corps Officer School with Basic Class #249 in May 2011 and reported to his first duty assignment at Naval Support Activity Bahrain from May 2011 to May 2012. During this tour he served as the Deputy Emergency Management Officer and Emergency Response Team Officer-In-Charge. From May 2012 to February 2014, he was assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ELEVEN in Gulfport, MS. During his tour he served as the Embarkation Officer for both deployments to Afghanistan and Spain as well as the Engineering Operations Officer and Headquarters Company platoon leader. During his tour, NMCB ELEVEN won two consecutive Atlantic Fleet Best of Type “Battle E” awards and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. From February 2014 to March 2016, Lieutenant Commander Adcock was assigned as a construction manager at Resident Office-In-Charge of Construction Camp Lejeune, NC. He then volunteered for assignment from March 2016 to March 2017 as construction manager at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. From March 2017 to April 2018 he was assigned as the Navy Region Southeast Assistant Regional Engineer Military Action Officer out of Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL. He then reported to Naval Air Station Jacksonville Public Works Department as the Assistant Public Works Officer from April 2018 to May 2020.

From May 2020 to May 2021, he completed a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering program at the University of Florida. Lieutenant Commander Adcock assumed duties as Resident Officer-in-Charge of Construction Camp Blaz, Officer in Charge of Construction Marine Corps Marianas in May 2021.Lieutenant Commander Adcock is Seabee Combat Warfare qualified and a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Florida. He is a warranted member of the Acquisition Professional Community, certified Level II Contracting and Level I Facilities Engineering, and is Public Works Level II qualified. His personal decorations include the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards) and Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards). He is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
