The NAVFAC Southwest Real Estate Business Line is responsible for execution of real estate actions involving acquisition, real property management, disposal, leasing, and licensing of Class 1 (land), and Class 2 (facilities) real property for the Navy and Marine Corps within Navy Region Southwest. This Business Line is staffed by a professional community of realty specialists, appraisers, cartographers, land surveyors, program analysts, and administrative assistants, who provide more than twenty Real Estate Products & Services (click to access link) designed to support the Fleet, Fighter, and Family.
Some examples of real estate projects include:
· Out-leasing underutilized Navy land and facilities to public and private organizations that provide services that improve service members' quality-of-life;
· Providing oversight of the current real estate in-grants and out-grants ensuring that the provisions of the real instruments continue to be followed, collecting rent and terminating/renewing real estate instruments as directed.
· Acquiring land or facilities required in support of the warfighter; and
· Disposing of excess land or facilities no longer required for the Navy mission.
