Natural Resources

Installations and ranges operated and maintained by the Department of Defense (DoD) through the military services comprise vast areas of public lands. These land, air, and water resources directly support the DoD's military training and readiness capabilities. They also support pristine wildlife habitat, and sustainable activities such as outdoor recreation and agriculture.

The Natural Resources Team at NAVFAC Southwest strives to support the military mission while managing the sensitive resources trusted to the stewardship of the DoD in the six states (California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico) that make up Navy Region Southwest.

To this end, the Team works in partnership with other agencies, organizations, and individuals to ensure that our natural heritage will continue to thrive along with our national security.
