Executive Officer's Bio

Captain Paul C. Chan is a native of Michigan.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University and he earned his commission through Officer Candidate School in Florida.  He holds a Master of Science in Coastal Engineering degree from University of Florida, a Master in Business Administration degree from University of New Orleans.

Captain Paul C. Chan most recently served as the Executive Officer for Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Marianas.  His other assignments include:  Officer-In-Charge of Construction Marine Corps Marianas (OICC MCM); Naval Base Ventura County; Commander U.S. Naval Forces Central / Commander 5th Fleet in Bahrain; OPNAV N46; Naval Construction Training Center Port Hueneme; Taji Resident Officer In Charge of Construction in Iraq; Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in post-Katrina New Orleans; Commander Naval Forces Europe, London, U.K.; and Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74.

Captain Chan earned the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and Navy Achievement Medal.  He is a registered Professional Engineer, a Certified Energy Manager, a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps, and is designated as a Seabee Combat Warfare Officer.
