Public Works Whidbey is responsible for the planning, design, construction, maintenance and repair of all roads, grounds, utilities and facilities on the air station, as well as management of environmental programs.
The PWD team administers construction contracts, the North Sound Base Operating Support Contract (BOSC) as well as oversees the Grounds Maintenance and Janitorial Services contract. In addition, the PWD team serves as a liaison between the contractors and the station’s client.
PWD executes its mission through four main divisions:

- Environmental Division
