OUR SERVICES

ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION

NAVFAC’s Northwest's Environmental (EV) Division advances the Navy’s mission by ensuring environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance while supporting the health and safety of personnel and surrounding communities. The division actively monitors environmental conditions, prevents contamination, responds to emergencies, and oversees the remediation of hazardous substances. By securing permits and authorizations for Navy activities, EV ensures compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws to meet mission requirements, while also managing natural and cultural resources on Navy lands to safeguard them for public use and future missions. Through programs such as the Environmental Restoration Program, EV addresses past environmental impacts by restoring affected areas, while the National Environmental Policy Act team guides comprehensive environmental planning through assessments and impact statements. In consultation with federally recognized Tribes and Alaska natives and other stakeholders, NAVFAC's environmental efforts ensure sustainable and responsible use of resources, fostering long-term mission readiness.

REAL ESTATE DIVISION
The Real Estate (RE) Division at NAVFAC Northwest manages a vast portfolio of over 3,000 permanent land and RE contract records, along with 800 active contracts including easements, licenses, leases, and permits. RE supports the Navy’s mission by facilitating land acquisition and real estate transactions necessary for operational needs. With approximately 200 annual projects, RE delivers tailored services to Navy customers, ensuring that land and property resources align with mission requirements and support long-term operational goals.
PLANNING, DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION DIRECTORATE
As the Navy and Marine Corps' trusted partner for infrastructure and facilities solutions, NAVFAC Northwest's Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) Directorate plays a critical role in supporting warfighter readiness and mission success. PDC provides comprehensive oversight of the Navy’s infrastructure, ensuring facilities and systems are planned, designed and built to meet both operational and mission demands. By leveraging advanced project management tools, PDC ensures efficient resource allocation and streamlined project execution. PDC's expertise and talent pool includes program management, project management, cost estimating, financial management, planning, design, and construction management. The overall objective is to drive innovation and deliver state-of-the-practice infrastructure and facilities that enhance operational capabilities and support the long-term Navy and Marine Corps mission.
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTORATE
NAVFAC Northwest’s Public Works (PW) Directorate provides technical and business expertise in facilities, utilities, energy, transportation, and infrastructure support. Working closely with our PW departments, the PW directorate offers services ranging from basic utility support to advanced energy solutions, routine facility service calls to complex facility management, and light-duty vehicle transport to heavy construction equipment. PW also manages janitorial services, grounds maintenance, snow removal, and integrated solid waste management. These services are delivered primarily through in-house professionals and Base Operations Support Contracts. The PW directorate also ensures that technical authorities, policies, processes, and resources are in place, allowing our PW departments to maintain high readiness and effectively support the Fleet across Navy Region Northwest.
