The Safety and Occupational Health (09SF) provides advice, information and assistance to all NAVFAC Hawaii personnel to enable the command to fulfill its primary safety responsibility of providing a workplace that is free from all recognizable safety and health hazards.
09SF accomplishes these tasks through technical consultation and on-site hazard control program administration involving the full range of NAVOSH programs, such as:

hazard analysis, sight and hearing conservation

preparing command-wide policies, instructions and procedures

investigating mishaps and conducting root cause analyses
