United States Marine Corps (USMC) Facilities, Engineering, and Acquisition Divisions (FEADs) contain both NAVFAC and USMC employees providing installation-level engineering, facilities support contracting, and acquisition functions. NAVFAC employees are funded with General Fund and staffed and resourced to provide NAVFAC construction and acquisition products and services (Products & Services). The FEAD Director is a warranted Civil Engineer Corps officer assigned primarily to their respective Facility Engineering Command (FEC) as well as operationally to the supported USMC Installation Commander. The USMC FEAD Director reports through the FEC Operations chain of command via the USMC Public Works Officer.
