Commander Peck hails from Dearborn, Michigan. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2003 at Michigan Technological University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He commenced his service as a Naval Flight Officer after receiving a commission through Officer Candidate School in June 2004. Commander Peck further expanded his academic achievements by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University.
CDR Peck’s operational tours include an individual augmentation in Afghanistan, where he served as Program Manager for NATO Training Mission Afghanistan; deployments to Rota, Spain and Okinawa, Japan with U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion THREE as the Assistant Operations Officer, and Alfa Company Commander.
Ashore, his assignments include Assistant Public Works Officer, Marine Corps Base Quantico; Construction Manager, Resident Officer in Charge of Construction Quantico; Production Officer, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast; Service Programs Manager, Commander Navy Region Europe, Africa, Central; and most recently the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division Director, Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake.
CDR Peck assumed duties as Executive Officer, Officer in Charge of Construction China Lake in August 2023.
He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan, member of the Defense Acquisition Corps, a qualified Naval Flight Officer and a Seabee Combat Warfare Officer. His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (5 awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and other personal, service, unit and campaign awards.
