Capt. Troy Brown

Capt. Brown is a native of Silverton, Oregon. In 2001 he commissioned through the NROTC at Oregon State University where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Colorado and is a graduate of Wharton’s Executive Development Program.
 
Brown’s operational tours include deployments to Guam, Crete, and Spain as an Engineering Aide, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3; Air Det AOIC, OIC for NCF Maritime Prepositioned Force offload during OIF II, S2 in Fallujah, Company Commander in Okinawa, and Liaison Officer for a detachment in Pakistan, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74; Joint Force Engineer for the Office of Defense Representatives
Pakistan; Executive Officer, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 4; and Commanding Officer, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 4.
 
His shore assignments include Assistant Resident Officer in Charge of Construction, Naval Air Station Fallon; Public Works Officer, Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae, Korea; Director of the Facilities Acquisition and Management Division, Civil Engineer Corps Officer School; the Director of Training Operations for the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineers; Shore Readiness Action Officer, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations Assessments Division (N81); Expeditionary Readiness Deputy Branch Head, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (N83); Assistant Operations Officer, Naval Facilities Engineer Command Washington.
 
Brown now serves as the Commanding Officer for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Marianas and Joint Region Marianas Regional Engineer (J4).
 
Brown is a registered professional engineer in the state of Oregon and a member of SAME. He is a qualified Seabee Combat Warfare Officer, Naval War College JPME I certified, DAWIA Level III, and a Defense Acquisition Corps member. His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5).
