naval base ventura county

Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) was formed through the merger of Naval Air Station (NAS) Point Mugu and Naval Construction Battalion Center (CBC) Port Hueneme in 2000. NBVC is a diverse installation composed of three main facilities — Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island.  The Restoration Advisory Board, created in 1994, is part of a public outreach program involving community members, state and federal regulators and the Navy in the environmental restoration program at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC).  The board participates in restoration activities at all of the components of NBVC.  The NBVC Restoration Advisory Board meets three times per year to discuss the progress of the restoration program.
